DESCRIPTION: Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., "912", 12 size, 17 jewels, stem wind and set, adjusted, straight line damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance and whiplash micrometric regulator, in a yellow gold filled, hinged back and snap bezel open face case, with presentation on cuvette "Presented to Frank Kowalczyk by The Stanley Works in recognition of 25 years service 1906 Sept. 24, 1931 and monogram on rear cover, with Arabic numeral, single sunk silver dial, and blued steel hands, serial #3430222, c1930
CONDITION: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on cuvette. DIAL: Minor spotting, otherwise very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Gouge at barrel bridge screw from wide screwdriver; Minor scratches on winding wheels. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). Frank Kowalczyk was born Mar. 10, 1885 in Poland. He emigrated to the US in 1906 and that year began working as a moulder in the foundry of The Stanley Company of New Britain, Conn.
